Merry Christmas donors and friends! We pray your holidays are blessed with the joy of the Lord. In Galatians 5, Paul instructs, “Practice serving one another.” Matthew 29:39 “ The absolute most important thing we can do is actively choose to love God above all else and next important is to love others as vehemently as we want to love ourselves.” The school year has come to a close for 2023. Term 1 will commence after the new year. We ask for your prayers for all of our students. Many of the DJS students’ reports have been emailed out. Our older students follow a different schedule at other schools. When reports are available we will get them to you. We had more than 260 students at Divine Junior School for Term 3. Classrooms were full. The dorm is overcrowded. Construction has begun on the foundation of a new dorm/classrooms. I will post pictures of construction on Facebook. Rock Kids Uganda, Inc. If any of you have fundraising ideas, please share with me. We have had suggestions of church groups compiling and selling cookbooks. We also saw some beautiful angel ornaments made from doilies, etc. I think these would be a great fund raiser. If you would like to do a project in your area, It would be greatly appreciated. These are ways you can make a terrific impact for our kids. The goal is to raise at least $35,000.00 to build. Please consider serving in this way. Our school has a wonderful staff. I was so pleased this summer to see how our students are growing academically. Parents and the community are helping at the school with many projects. Three Hundred fifty (350) people attended our Parents Day last week. Monies were donated and pledged to purchase cement. This thrills me to see them taking pride and committing resources to the school. The community is so pleased to have a school of high quality in their village. Some of the top teachers of Masaka are teaching and working at Divine Junior School. One of the joys of last summer’s trip was seeing the variety of talents our children have. Leaders are being developed. It was overwhelming to feel the love and thanks the kids sent to each of YOU for caring for them. Please consider joining one of our trips in 2024. It will change your life forever. Lorrie Bagley deserves a big thank you for recently updating our website. Rockkidzuganda.org Great Job Lorrie!!! We continue to add new donors to Rock Kidz and, thank God for that, but we have lost several donors. Please pray for people to join this ministry. God deserves all the glory for all that is happening in Masaka. If you care to contribute to gifts of food for our kids’ families for Christmas and the break from school you can send monies to Rock Kidz Uganda, Inc, 1814 E Third St., Salem, OH 44460. Also, PayPal can be used through [email protected] Also use my name Mary Lee Bodendorfer or visit our website and hit the button, “one time gift”. I want to wire money by Dec.20. We need sponsors for 11 children if you or someone you know wants to help. Please love as Jesus loved. More children need to hear about Christ’s salvation and His precious love for them. THANK YOU for all you do each month, each week, each year. May God’s blessings be poured out on each of you.
