Advent Candle Lightings ~ HOPE, FAITH, JOY, PEACE, CHRIST Advent begins on December 1st, bringing the special readings that we look forward to yearly. “Advent” is a word that means “to come” and it refers to Jesus’ coming to earth as a baby on Christmas Day. It's a time when we get ready and prepare ourselves for the coming of the Christ Child. One of the ways we can begin to prepare for a meaningful celebration of Christ’s birth is with the lighting of the candles of our Advent wreath. The circular wreath of evergreen boughs reminds us of God’s forever love. The four purple and pink candles - Hope, Faith, Joy, and Peace - will help to focus us on the true meaning of this holy season. Christmas Eve will bring the lighting of the white Christ candle, to remind us that Jesus has come as the Light of the World.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship Come Worship with us during our afternoon service, complete with special music and candle-lighting. Invite friends and family to join us for the service and fellowship time on December 24 at 3:30pm. Celebrate the joy of the Savior's birth!
